This banana bread will change your life! It has become a staple in our house. My hubby asks for it often, and it disappears quick! I came across this recipe on Pinterest (amazing as always) and am so glad I did. If you are looking for a twist on banana bread, this is it. Hope you enjoy it as much as my hubs and I do!

Banana Bread:

  • 3 overripe bananas (mashed)
  • 3/4 C sugar
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1/3 C melted butter
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 1 t baking soda
  • dash of salt
  • 1 1/2 C flour

Swirl:

  • 1 T cinnamon
  • 1/3 C sugar

Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9×5 loaf pan. In a medium mixing bowl, mix mashed bananas, sugar, beaten egg, melted butter & vanilla extract. Sprinkle baking soda & dash of salt on top of mixture. Slowly & gently stir in the flour (be careful to not over mix!). In a small bowl mix cinnamon and sugar for the swirl. Pour half of the mixture in the greased loaf pan, then sprinkle 2/3 of the swirl mixture on top. Pour the rest of the batter on top, then top with remaining swirl. Bake for 50-60 minutes. Keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn’t burn! When done, take out of oven and let cool then enjoy!
